Celebrate Freedom!

July is a fun filled month in which we commemorate our Declaration of Independence from England. In the 234 years since then, our country has continued to fight against many forms of tyranny. The "Four Freedoms" were articulated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941, as something that people "everywhere in the world" ought to enjoy - 1. Freedom of speech and expression, 2. Freedom of religion, 3. Freedom from want, and 4. Freedom from fear. We remember all those that have fought and sacrificed to ensure these freedoms as integral to our American way of life.

Independence's Day is the perfect time to fire up the grill, watch a parade, enjoy fireworks and celebrate this happy time with family and friends. We will celebrate and honor our heroes during our Praise and Worship service at 10:45 each Sunday.

First Church invites you to our Annual Community Family Fun event on July 17, 2010 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm in the Outdoor Worship Center. Food, Music, a silent auction and prize drawings will certainly keep everyone entertained and relaxed. For more information on July events, please see our calendar on the "About Us" page.

Among all the festivities, may we never forget to celebrate the awesome freedom in Christ that we enjoy as Christians and to share that gift with others!
